A Japanese woman claims to have received lucky gifts 500 times in one year. Known as the 'Lucky Queen', she is said to have won prizes worth around US$ 70,000 (Rs 58,76,752) several times through lotteries. A young woman named Kane Hirayama shared her good fortune through a Japanese television program.
Hirayama, who spoke about her fortune on the television program, revealed that most of her furniture was acquired through raffle winnings. Raffles are a special type of lucky ticket sale in Japan, similar to lotteries in our country. These types of online raffles are common here, including business establishments. Raffles are also used as an effective marketing strategy in Japan. Hirayama says that through the raffles he participated in several times, he was able to acquire many of the items he needed.
They also revealed that they have come up with a range of attractive gifts including bowls, Bento boxes, mugs, children's toys, yoga balls and even snacks. They claim that apart from small gifts, they have also received valuable gifts. These range from a 70,000 yen (US$490) oven and a 1,00,000 yen water purifier to a car worth 4 million yen (US$28,000).
On the television show, Hirayama shared several strategies to increase his chances of winning. The first trick they say when registering for a raffle is to register just before the cut-off time. Doing so is a great opportunity to attract the attention of employees, she added. She reminded them that the most important thing is the enthusiasm to participate again and again even if the opportunities are missed. They say that they spend an average of four hours every day on raffles.
